Hello Visionaries! I'm so happy to see all of you today! We've got our first ever review on the blog today!!! Yay! I'm so excited! I'm reviewing Identity by my dear friend Annabelle Batie! Awesomely enough, Annabelle and I started getting to know each other when I volunteered to help beta read Identity, so that's super awesome!
Are you guys read to hear my thoughts on this awesome book? I thought so! Here we go!
Emerged into a contemporary setting with a mermaid twist! I loved this story so much! Seeing Maria grow as a character and Alex! My heart! I love Alex, you guys! This was just such a good book!
Characters:
Maria is the main POV, and she's a lot of fun. She doubts herself and is totally blown away by discovery after discovery...but she's such a dear who really just wants to find out who she is and what that means...
Alex...*hugs* I love this guy! His humor, his whole character!!! I loved his POVs! I will admit he makes mistakes and could have handled some things better, but we're all human right...well, or merfolk? Whatever, we all get to make some mistakes and still be loved!
There are some great side characters...some side characters I was stunned by and some that are just so funny you can't help but laugh that round out the cast! Grace was a sweet little side character that I adore!
Plot:
I'd say the main themes are discovering who you are and realizing that even when we feel as if we don't belong anywhere in the world...we belong to God. We are His children even if we have no earthly home and over all our Identity is found in Him!
Romance:
So cute! Just a nice, subtle but adorable romance! I loved it!!! It was just so good and funny and ahh...did my heart good!

Overall:
I really enjoyed this book! I loved the story and the mermaid setting and just...ah, it was so much fun to read and I enjoyed it so much!!!! This is a Young Adult book that will capture your heart and hold you captive!!! I loved it!!!
