Hey everyone!
Happy April! It’s that time of year when things begin to grow, grass needs cut, and you start leaving windows open!
Well, it’s also time to announce our poetry contest winner!! We had a whopping 11 entries!! (Compared to last contest, when we had 0, that’s a giant increase XD) I want to thank each and every one of you for your outstanding work, and the time you took not only to write a poem, but to enter it into our contest!! It means a TON, so round of applause for you all!!
As you know, however, we can only choose one winner, and y’all, it was HARD. I love poetry, and I thought it would fit the season, and YOU GUYS, you all did such a fantastic job, it smells like spring, and your poems jump off the page at me and paint such beautiful pictures, it was a privilege to be able to read each of your poems.

CONGRATULATIONS! *throws confetti* We're excited to let y'all read her poem, it speaks to the beauty of the southern state Louisiana, the animals and landscape unique to that small part of the world. It was heart-warming to read, and the words and description flowed together seamlessly! So congratulations Laura! You've officially won the Writers' Vision 2023 poetry contest!
